Arun Hampapur, Ph.D.

Co-Founder & CEO

Arun Hampapur is a Co-Founder and CEO of Bloom Value Corporation. He has a Ph.D. in AI from the University of Michigan. Arun was a leader in AI/ML at IBM Research for 23 years. During his tenure at IBM, he led large teams of AI/ML / Big Data experts in developing and deploying Enterprise AI/ML solutions in Media and Entertainment, Homeland Security, Smart Cities, Retail, Travel, Utilities, IT Services, and other industries. Arun has helped invent and launch several AI products at IBM. Arun's new product lines have resulted in 100's of millions of new revenue for IBM. He holds 150+ US patents in ML/AI Solutions.

Arun was appointed as a Distinguished Engineer at IBM for his contributions to video surveillance technology and solutions. His last role in IBM Research was the Director of Commerce Research, where he led a team of Ph.D.'s in AI technologies for Customer Engagement, Marketing, Pricing, Sourcing, and several other e-Commerce functions. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He wrapped up his career at IBM in Aug 2020 as Distinguished Engineer and Director of Development for AIOps, to launch Bloom Value Corporation.
